My Mom & Emergency Surgery!!!!

My mom had been sick with what we thought was a stomach virus since Saturday. Per doctors orders she has been taking nausea medicine, but has still been sick. My dad took her to the doctor today and on to get x-rays. They found a blockage in her lower bowel that was caused from a hernia in the area where she had an apendectimony when she was 7 years old. The doctor said that this was rare. They had to do emergency surgery tonight and get the "kinked" bowel out of the herniated area. She is out of surgery, but still in the recovery area so my dad has not gotten to see her yet. This all happened really fast. He called me around 6:30 tonight to tell me that they were doing surgery as soon as the doctor finished a gall bladder surgery. My dad didn't get in touch with any of his friends from church, so he was there alone. He did run into one of his golf/work buddies (who on a side note grew up with my father-in-law in Arkansas...weird huh?). This very nice man, asked my dad what he could do for him and he went and got my dad some chicken and brought it back for his supper. I thought that was sweet. Anyway, they both (I talked to my mom before they took her back for surgery) have told me not to come. If there were to be any type of complication or anything, my dad would then ask me to come. So, here I sit, just praying for them and praying that people come along and minister to them like they have done for so many people over the years. Please lift both of my parents up in prayer at this time.
