We ventured out to Glen Rose to the wildlife park. Grandpa allowed the kids and John to load up in the back of his truck and they got to get up close and personal with the animals. Savannah took most of the pictures and did a GREAT job! Before we took off on the adventure, Grandpa was using the phonebook the in the shop to look up the numbers of some cousins of his...wouldn't ya know, the young girl working the counter said "that's my parents" they owned the business that my dad was looking up! People always tell me that I know someone everywhere I go....seems like I come by that genetically! It was a fun adventure that day. We stopped at the midway point and had a picnic lunch. It was HOT, so the kids were excited to get a cold drink and enjoy the air conditioning in the gift shop. Bryan and I rode int he backseat of the truck and enjoyed the air conditioning for the tour!
