I spent time today on the phone with the nicest Canadian people from from the Owl Foundation. They gave me some great tips for our little visitor today and we have done our Stonecipher Good Deed for this week! The kids named him, and all told him good-bye! The lady suggested that John wear a hard hat because the parents of the little owl might swoop and get him while he returned the owl to its home. The lady even saw the owl box when I sent her the picture of our backyard...see these people are smart! They know what they are doing...me, not-so-much! Anyway, our little friend is back home with his family tonight and probably eating a feast of baby rats or mice....yum!

A Pregnant Woman's Nose....KNOWS!!!!
We had a tremendous storm last night. I was awakened at 2:30AM, not by the sound of the thunder, but by the smell of the rain and wind....you know that "storm" smell. It was very strong. The electricity was out, and the lightning was brilliantly lighting the room. The smell was so strong to my pregnant nose, that I wondered if maybe a skylight had broken, I got up to check out the darkened house and found to my horror that our front door was standing WIDE open!!!! It was pouring down rain outside. I closed the door (which was locked) and I went to wake up John. I guess I watch too much TV but I wanted him to get up and go check on all of the kids to make sure that they had not been stolen, and to also check to see if there was a creepy man in our house! It was pitch black and I tripped over Reagan's car...OUCH!
Well, all of the kids were in bed and accounted for...whew...there was no creepy man...back to bed we went. Only to be awakened by Whitney who wanted to sleep with us...NEVER happens...we let her in and it was like having a monkey in the bed...needless to say, I am exhausted!!!!
THEN, when Whitney got up at 5:59!!!!, she saw THIS in our backyard.
So, John and the girls spent like 20 minutes making a safe haven for our new baby owl friend!
We called the wildlife specialist guy and he can't take on a new bird because he is going out of town this weekend. He suggested that we put it in a tree and see if it will fly...I am SURE that LUCKY would enjoy that!!!!

Piano Recital
The girls had their piano recital on Saturday, along with the birthday part AND another party that we attended in Granbury...whew...what a day. I have the video, it is now on my computer, but the file is HUGE, so you will have to wait for the video, sorry. But here are pictures of my darlings!
Isn't this sweet? This is Reagan's sweet two-year-old hand playing with Mammaw's rings and her 92 year-old hands...Sweet!
Last year, my Memaw was able to come to the recital. It makes me sad to think of all of the things that she will never be at again. She always brought a platter or pickles and olives to the birthday parties...I missed that platter this year!

Savannah and Blayne's Family Birthday Party
We celebrated Savannah and Blayne's birthdays today with the family. My parents couldn't come because my mom had some major dental work done this week and she is home recovering. We enjoyed having John's family and my brother and sister-in-law. The Terrific Ten (ten Stonecipher cousins) had a great time visiting with eachother and playing and eating of course. John cooked up some hamburgers, we enjoyed cupcakes iced by Savannah, ice-cream and a pinata!!!!
and the party continues!!!!!

Field Day
There is a lot going on around here, and I just haven't had time to post. Whitney enjoyed her field day at school last week. It is such a fun day of working together in team building and relay-type activities. One of the highlights of the day is tug-of-war. Whitney's class took 2nd place!!!!

Blayne's 6th Bithday Party
We celebrated Blayne's 6th birthday with his friends today at one of his favorite spots, Tornado Terry's. We had planned this special day with his favorite people. I booked a private party so that it would be a small crowd and I could limit the games as there are a few that are inappropriate with blood and gore and violence. When I called yesterday to confirm my order for food today, I was given some bad news!!! The lady dropped the bombshell that there was a SCHOOL GROUP coming at the same time as my party....what??? I was paying for a private party...what happened??? Well, she said that it was a Christian private school that was kindergarten, so I thought "what can I do at this point?" She told me that she would give me a discount and that she would give me my hotdogs for FREE (oh wow...a whole $1 a piece) Anyway, we went with it, and although it was MORE than just a kindergarten group, it was 25 kids of ALL ages, it really turned out to be a good party. I still restricted the games that I thought needed to be restricted and the other group complied! Blayne was in hog heaven...he was just smiling the entire time. It was fun. He requested that we sing "Happy Birthday Mario" instead of Blayne and his sweet friends obliged! We pulled Savannah and Whitney out of school for a couple of hours so that they could enjoy the fun and celebrate their brother. My sister-in-law, Becky, came to my house with her younger two and stayed with Reagan (THANK YOU!) So, all in all it was a great time. And, to top off the fun, Blayne invited his cousin Will (one of his favorite people in the whole world) to come to spend the night tonight. We are going to go to Chili's for dinner...Blayne's choice. Well, I am pooped, pregnant and nauseous, so I think that I will go lay in the recliner and wish my nausea away. Tomorrow is Blayne's REAL birthday. We are giving him a bicycle. He has been riding a Barbie bike (hand-me-down) He is going to be sooooo excited to have a BOY bike!!!!! Happy Birthday to my Sweet Boy!

Reagan's Stage Debut
Well, Miss Reagan got to have her time to shine on stage today at Bible Study. The kids came and sang for us all of the songs that they have been working on this year. I will try to figure out how to post the video on here so you can enjoy it. Blayne did such a good job being one of the older kids and singing all of the words to all of the songs in a good loud voice, and Reagan, well she sang ALL of the songs, did her on interpretive dance and made people laugh...it was a lot of flashback to Whitney's younger years. John was able to come and watch. It was fun! Then, we divided and conquered. John took the kids to lunch while I raced to a District PTA luncheon where my album that had been judged was being returned. John had an exciting lunch. The manager offered to buy him dessert if he could do this:
Don't offer John FREE stuff!
I am surprised that he didn't stay there all day trying. Fortunately, he accomplished the goal and they all enjoyed his prize.
I took some pictures at the PTA meeting. It is PTA's 100th anniversary, so it was a party. Our principal had to continuing working during the luncheon!
