Blayne's Recovery

Blayne is doing so well. We are all amazed. He has energy, is not taking naps and has been able to eat without discomfort! He has been begging for chips and hot sauce...can you imagine???? So, last night, we compromised and I tore up tortillas into triangles and he dipped them into hotsauce and ate them....I figured it would burn the mess out of his throat. He LOVED it and thought it was great. He is taking his medicines without any complaining and he is enjoying all of the ice-cream and popscicles and Jello....especially when he gets to eat it at the dinner table and his girls are eating "real" food!!!! He slept until 8:45 this morning and seemed fine, but did vomit after a few sips of apple juice....John is at church with the girls, so I am hoping that was a random thing and won't continue throughout the day! He seems fine. He was able to eat some breakfast and is now playing the Wii. We got a virus on our computer, so I am using the laptop this morning...sorry to not have a picture to post for you. Blayne is enjoying the attention and the gifts that have arrived by mail, the balloon bouquet from our church, the large basket of fun stuff that the Packwoods brought over and the undivided attention of his mom and dad! He has said some funny things:
He apparently woke up before they got all of the surgerical tools removed from his bed. He told me that he saw some "hoses" at the end of his bed and he thinks that maybe they used those to "vacuum out his tonsils from his throat". He told me that he thinks that his tubes are "too big in his ears" and I asked him if they are hurting and that is why he thinks that they are too big he said, "no, I can hear too much, and I think that they put too big of tubes in there, Dr. Bryan fixed them too good".
I will try to keep you posted on his recovery. Hopefully our resident IT guy will be able to fix our computer today....but with the BIG game (which by the way, Michelle is attending) today, it might not happen.

Praise the Lord! Can't believe the change in his ears is so dramatic and so immediate. Glad he's doing SO well. Give him a hug for us!
