Blayne's Apology

It does a Mommy's heart good when her children are tender to do what is right. Today at school, Blayne caught a caterpillar on the playground. Everyone was very excited about it! A boy in his class apparently ended up with what Blayne thought was his caterpillar. Blayne asked for it back and the boy would not give it to him. As they were lining up, his teacher hear the commotion of Blayne asking for his caterpillar, and when the other child would not oblige and give the caterpillar to Blayne, he was punished by having his folder signed. Later in the day another child showed Blayne that his caterpillar was on his shirt. He didn't say anything to the teacher, but after supper tonight, he talked to me about it and wanted to write Mrs. Middleton a letter. He wrote this without help. Then, he was going to erase the entire thing to add the words "in line" so I showed him we could add it like adults do! He plans to give it to the teacher first thing in the morning. I pray that the Lord will continue to work in his heart and keep him tender and convict him when he has done wrong!

That is wonderful. I remember my mom saying how my dad needed all daughters so he could be "tenderized". I am sure his siters have helped. Having just boys, tender, sadly, is not always a word we use around here.
