Our older girls have been wanting to get their ears pierced. John felt stongly that they should wait and had even said until they are 16!!!! They have enjoyed wearing clip-on earrings and most recently magnetic earrings. It has been very frustrating, because we lose an earring almost every time they are worn!!!! argh! Well, at the dinner table Wednesday night, John says very casually to the girls "and I have decided that if you girls want to have your ears pierced, you can..." Whitney replied "what? Dad are you kidding???" She smiled the rest of the night as she could not believe that her Daddy was gonna let her get her ears pierced. Savannah was excited, but a little more apprehensive about it because she was concerned that it would hurt too much. Well, I took them to have it done yesterday....and they both are still smiling! I am relieved, I was so tired of looking for lost earrings!!!! I am still a bit shocked that he allowed them to do it. We hadn't even talked about it, he just changed his mind and decided to let them if they wanted to. They are really serious about taking care of them and they look forward to buying a variety of earrings in the future! Oh, and I took them to Claire's....ahhh, the memories of Claire's!

Wow, they both went through with it. Whitney looked more nervous, but that maybe because she doesn't mind the picture taking. They both look great and it's a load off of you!
