Upward Basketball for Blayne

Blayne is trying out basketball this year for the first time. He seems to really enjoy it! He has a super nice coach, Coach Bubba, and Coach Bubba's son coaches the team with him. He is a VERY patient man and really seems to care about the boys and is encouraging as he teaches them God's word and basketball skills. At the first game, I laughed because when Blayne would sit on the bench, he would sit at the end where all of the cheerleaders were sitting on the floor. He seemed to like being near those cute girls! He is coming along with his skills. He enjoys having us all there to watch him play.

Spelling Bee Stress

If you haven't attended and elementary Spelling Bee lately, I highly recommend it! Oh my word, it is soooo stressful! You feel terrible for the kids that get out in the early rounds spelling easy words. It is like listening to someone who sings off-key doing a solo in church, and your stomach aches for them to just get done and not have to continue with the humiliation!!!
Whitney did a great job and she is so confident and poised on stage. She made it down to the last 7 kids and she went out on the word "supremacy". When she missed it, I was sort of puzzled because I figured that she probably knew the word. She spelled it "c-u-p-r-e-m-a-c-y". When she got home from school, I asked her to spell it for me. She spelled it perfectly. She then said "I think that is how I spelled it on stage". When I told her that she spelled it with a "c", she started laughing about it! I love how she doesn't get too stressed out or bummed when she makes a mistake! She is already looking forward to next year's Bee. Me, on the otherhand, not-so-much....might have to take one of those Xanax that my dentist has prescribed for me to take when I have dental work done!

Spelling Bee

Whitney placed third in the school Spelling Bee last year....this morning, I read a note that she typed to her friend.....
"I am nervice about the Spelling Bee on Thursday."
Oh, dear, maybe she should be NERVOUS!
So, if you are thinking about it, pray for Whitney Thursday morning as she competes in the Bee!

Cousin Pictures

We had our annual Cousin Picture photo shoot in early December. We combined it with my niece, Brittany's, birthday. The kids did great. Both of my sisters-in-law and I took pictures. It was a major paparazzi event! The kids did great. There are 11 Stonecipher Cousins...ages 1 year to 13 years! There was a brisk wind that day and it was very BRIGHT outside. My little nephew, Jack, is in the midst of potty training and had to go potty right as we were about photoshoot the kids on a bridge, his daddy took him behind the group to tee-tee in the little creek. Reagan doesn't miss anything, and she still talks about that! The kids also got to enjoy riding their cousins' golf cart through the neighborhood. It was a fun day. Here are some of the pictures from the day. We did the photoshoot at Cheryl and David's neighborhood park. It was a really pretty location, and I think will be our future photo spot!
