Blayne Logic

Blayne got in trouble last night in the car when we were coming home from a restaurant. His punishment was that he lost the privilege to use the DS today. At COSTCO this afternoon, he used his own money to purchase a new DS game. He realizes that he can't play the game until tomorrow, but he wanted to purchase the game. As we were checking out in line, he proceeds to have this conversation with me:

BLAYNE: "Mom, I don't think that I want to eat supper tonight"
ME: "Why, are you feeling sick?"
BLAYNE: "No, I just want to have a short supper."
ME: "Why?"
BLAYNE: "Well, I want to skip supper and go to bed so that I can wake up and play my DS in the morning, because in the morning it will be tomorrow and I can play the DS."

Hmmmmm.....can't argue that logic!

Packwood Pictures

The Packwood pictures were a BIG hit!!!! Gracie said that she would cherish them forever. When I ran over to put them in the house on Sunday, Libby saw it and said "Aww....look how cute I am!" (precious!) I had the framed pictures in different places in the house. This is a picture of the collage picture that I had done.

Malarie's 4th Birthday

Today we drove a couple of hours to attend my cousin's little girl's birthday party. It was 107 degrees outside, but you would have never known it by watching the kids run all over the park (and some adults too!) They played games and enjoyed the "Wizard of Oz" themed party. Malarie was so sweet and acted very excited about her gifts. We then went and visited my Memaw at my Aunt's house (she is staying with her until her next Chemo treatment next week) We got to eat at Dairy Queen, which was VERY exciting for my kids! It was a fun family day!

Dad's Sinus Surgery

My Dad had major sinus surgery yesterday to repair a deviated septum and remove pollups and pretty much roto-rooter his sinus passages....it make me hurt to think of what they had to do to him to do that!!!! I about gagged when my mom told me yesterday that he got sick at the hospital before they left and threw up blood...can you imagine having your nose all packed and your head being all stuffed up and then throwing up???? When I was little, I had at one time thought about being a nurse. This is one of the many reminders that I would make a crappy nurse. I would be crying and throwing up WITH the patients! Pray for my Dad as he recovers and for my mom as she cares for him. The worst part of recovery will be that he can't play golf or fish for two weeks! That is pure punishment to him.

Packwood Pictures

My friend, Gracie, is having a birthday on Monday. I had decided a long time ago on her gift. I wanted to get pictures of her kids made as a surprise....Libby doesn't care so much for professional pictures, so I thought that this would be a GREAT way to give a wonderful gift! She hasn't had her picture made in like two years or something because she whigs out! Well, today, I decided that this would be a wonderful job for me.....taking OTHER people's kids to get their pictures made. Can you imagine not having to go through the stress of picking out clothes, or fixing hair, or driving to the studio, or for that matter picking out the pictures???? Libby proved again that she HATES to have her picture made and she made me work VERY hard to get these photos. You would NEVER know that she was crying inconsolably in her sitter's arms between shots! I am counting on the fact that Gracie doesn't read my BLOG....she is in Mexico attending her cousin's wedding. Hopefully, she isn't finding down time at a cyber cafe or anything and looking at my blog. Check out the pics! Oh, and I had all FOUR of my kids here at the studio too. Don't you know the employees were loving me and my SEVEN children!!!!

I had some pictures from our family gathering from the 4th of July. We had Stonecipher Family pictures made and I took some candid shots....enjoy! (check back later to see more pictures here....ran out of time loading them....dinner duty calls!)

If you can't beat 'em....join 'em!

Poor Blayne. Yet AGAIN, the girls have friends that are spending the night. The day day has been spent with make-up, dress-up, painting nails, dancing and singing! They even had a fashion show! What's a boy to do????

Visit from Uncle Jerral and Aunt Dilia

My brother and his wife are being relocated to the Metroplex. They came and had lunch and spent the afternoon with us. It was good to see them and we are looking forward to having them around more now that they will live closer to us!

The Dentist

The three big kids went to the dentist yesterday. Great report...no cavities!!!! Savannah got 16 sealants and Whitney got 4. It is a fun place with video games and water games, and videos (EVEN ON THE CEILING!) Enjoy the pictures!

We've Decided to Add to our Family!!!!

Here's a look at our latest addition. He will join our family in a couple of weeks!!!!
