Church Skate Night

Our church rents out a local skating rink every year for a family skate night. The kids LOVE to go. Whitney got to take her sweet friend, Ella. This year, even Reagan got out there. I pulled the pregnancy card on this one and just took pictures. Fortunately, our friends that have THIRTEEN kids didn't bring their younger kids, so they were more than willing to grab a hand or pick up one of mine off of the floor! The rink had these cool PVC pipe walker things with wheels on them. Reagan looked like an old granny, but she enjoyed having her independence....imagine that!!!!!

Swimming

We went to The Keller Pointe with my longtime best friend, Michelle, today. Wouldn't you know, we two girls BOTH have blogs, BOTH have nice cameras and BOTH like to take pictures....neither of us brought our camera!!! Funny...great minds think alike! We had a nice time. It is good to spend time with her kids. I talk to her daily and I know all that goes on with them, but I don't get to see her as often as I would like since she lives in Dallas. The kids had a great time and Reagan has finally gotten more adventurous in the water. The kids played well and did great. I was a bit worried about Reagan being without a nap, but I forget, she thinks that she is 5 and when she feels like it, she acts like it too!!!! New Hairdos

I got my hair done last week with my birthday money from my mom and dad (thanks!). No more gray and lots more options! This week I took all THREE of my girls to my friend, Nancy, to have their hair done too! I had appointments for Savannah and Whitney, but at the last minute, I called Nancy to see if she would do Reagan too! I LOVED what she did with all three of them....Whitney wanted to be more adventurous with her hair, but she has to wear it up for the performances this next weekend, so I wouldn't let her get more cut off! They are not used to going to a real salon to get their hair done. I usually take them to a cheap kid place. They enjoyed every minute of it...especially the shampoo with head massage!!! (they get that from me!) Everyone was staring at us while we were there. You know we do look out of place a bit...nice salon, PREGGO mom with FOUR kids! Our card reader is having issues, so I will upload pictures later when my computer expert gets home!

A Reminder.....

*UPDATED BY AMI* Rick's heart cath has already taken place this morning (Monday). There was no blockage, and that is wonderful news! He will have to lie still on his back for 4-6 hours to prevent bleeding from the point of entry in his groin. The dr said that we will talk about more details later in the day, but Rick will more than likely be on heart meds for a while. He will also probably have to spend one more night in the hospital. That's alright. We'll do whatever they tell us is best. Thank you for your prayers and concerns.



that we are not invincible! We have a friend that is 37 who has had a mild heart attack and is in the hospital for treatment. He is seemingly healthy guy. It has reminded me today that we need to live each day as it might be our last and live for the glory of Him!!! Pray for Rick as he is having nausea and a terrible headache tonight. Pray for their 3 young boys ages 6 and 4. His wife, Ami, said that she is complete peace in all of this and knows that God is in control.

All Dressed Up

Savannah had a birthday party to attend tonight. The theme was "Hollywood Red Carpet". The girls dressed in their "best" red carpet attire. We took them to a local upscale re-sale shop and they picked out their outfits. I did Savannah's hair and even let her wear make-up! WOW! She looked so old!!!! The girls were enjoying pizza and cake and then heading to a local theater for a movie that came out today. She was so excited. Her friend, Shelby, came over and road with us. Our girl is growing up...just a small taste of the reality that lies ahead. She is so beautiful and the inside and out! I stood in awe as I put mascara on her long, full eyelashes. Whitney looked on in amazement as we transformed her for the evening out! We pray that God will continue to grow her in Him and that she will maintain her inward beauty in the years to come. What a lovely lady!

Three Legged Frog

Blayne and his frogs....he found this one today. John was in the middle of weed-eating and had just finished mowing, so I assumed that he might have "gotten" him, but upon closer review, the froggy was either born without a leg or has healed from an old injury. Blayne put him in the water and got a real kick out of the way a three-legged frog swims. He and Reagan just laughed and laughed...poor frog!
