Latest Libby News From Gracie

Just a quick update. We will stay in the ICU for at least another day as Libby's chest tubes are not working as well as they should, potentially creating a situation where the fluid could collect around her lungs which would be very bad. It is bad for anyone, but more so for her because of the way her circulation is now. Other than that, all is well. She is in good spirits, but tired. She sleeps a lot of the time, but has long periods where she is awake and calm. I am fine with staying in the ICU. The last 2 nights we had a room at the Ronald McDonald House that is in the hospital, but that is unlikely tonight since parents of new post-ops get first priority. So the couch in the waiting room may once again be our friend tonight!! At least it is a place to lie flat, and I got some ear plugs when I left the hospital last night to see the boys for awhile. They are en route to Keller with my mom who will hold down the fort this week. Please pray for safe travel for them, the boy's missing us (although I may be doing most of the mising), and continued improvement for Libby and lessened chest tube drainage so we can go home, be a family again, and do Libby's favorite things. She is making a list!!
