Libby Update

(This is a picture of Gracie and Eric so you can have a visual of them!) Got a message from Gracie tonight. Libby has had a rough day. She is so hard to keep sedated because of all of the drugs they have had to use over her lifetime (three whole years). She is really fighting being in bed. They are having to physically hold her in the bed. They did take out the drain that was directly in her heart (I about threw up when I saw the nurse thumping on that thing to keep the blood from clotting, all I could think about was that thing was IN her heart and that couldn't feel good!!!), and the arterial line was removed today so they can actually hold her now. But, when they hold her, she wants back in bed, and then she wants them to hold her and so on....she has asked for water and they couldn't give her any until this afternoon and her response was "ahhhhhh". She has asked to go swimming, to ride in her stroller and to go home!!!! Poor thing. Gracie and Eric are exhausted. I am sure that this is both physically and emotionally draining on them. They also had to ask that the boys not come up tonight because it was taking both of them to restrain Libby. (The boys can't come and see her on the floor, but Gracie and Eric come down and see them, have a treat or something and just give them lovin', but not tonight. I am sure that was hard on all of them....including the sitter!!!!) Pray for all of the family. Here is a picture of those brothers: Mason and Camden! Libby is doing well, and I am happy that she is fighting mad....that is a GOOD thing!
